A pitch deck that was not chosen turns up in a competitor’s campaign. A client disputes which revision they approved. A builder says the drawings changed after tender. Designers and architects live with these timing questions, and file metadata rarely settles them.
TimeBinder lets you lock in an independent, verifiable timestamp for concepts, drawings and approvals at each stage of a project, without uploading your work.
What design and architecture teams TimeBind
- Concept boards, sketches and pitch decks before they are presented
- Drawing sets and specifications issued for tender or construction
- Client-approved revisions and sign-off emails saved as PDF
- Logo, brand and product design files
- Site photos and file notes from inspections
How it works
- Choose up to 10 files. Any file type and size works.
- Your browser calculates each file’s SHA-256 fingerprint. The files themselves are never uploaded, so unreleased work stays on your device.
- Choose Pooled (batched with other TimeBinds, usually recorded within about 24–36 hours) or ASAP (your own Bitcoin transaction, broadcast straight away and verifiable without TimeBinder).
- Download your Proof of Time Certificate, a PDF with a QR code and the Bitcoin transaction ID.
- Keep your original files unchanged. Anyone you share access with can later re-check a file against the record in their browser.
Make it part of your stage gates
TimeBind the deliverables each time a stage is issued or approved: concept, design development, tender, construction. You end up with a clear, independently checkable timeline of what existed at each point. See how this plays out in disputes on our engineering and construction and creative work pages.
What a TimeBind proves, and what it does not. A TimeBind proves that your file existed no later than the time it was recorded on the Bitcoin blockchain, and that it has not changed since. It does not prove who created the file, that its contents are true, or that a court will admit it. It is independent evidence of timing to use alongside your other records, and it is not legal advice.
Frequently asked questions
Does a TimeBind replace registering a design?
No. In Australia, the visual appearance of a product is protected as a design only through registration with IP Australia. A TimeBind is timing evidence, not a registered right. If registration matters for your work, get advice early.
Can I timestamp large CAD, BIM or Figma exports?
Yes. There is no file-size or file-type limit, and up to 10 files fit in one TimeBind. For very large projects, export or zip the key deliverables for each stage.
Will the client or anyone else see my files?
No. Only a fingerprint of each file is recorded. The files stay on your device and you choose who can verify them.
Does it prove the design is mine?
It proves your files existed by a set time and are unchanged. Combined with your project records, that can support your account of authorship, but it is not proof of authorship on its own.
